RAD Series E+, manual or synchronized: radiography versatility with optimized investment

RAD Series E+, a range of personalized radiology solutions

Featuring a floor column tubestand, a vertical or tilting bucky, a fixed or variable height table, Rad Series E+ is available in several versions such as manual, auto-tracking, and autotracking + stitching (dedicated configuration). It can be used with film cassettes, CR plates or flat panels (fixed or portable). You can perform all your conventional radiology examinations.

Thanks to our x ray room, you can easily perform all your x-ray examinations, on a table, on a bucky, or by direct exposure in the room.

ERGONOMICS

Movements

The combination of linear and rotational movements of the C1HR column offers a multitude of views enabling to perform all your radiographic procedures.

Wall Bucky

Perform your bone and lung examinations on the wall bucky that you manually adjust to the patient’s size.

Elevating table

In Emergency configuration, prefer the configuration with variable height table to adapt it to the stretcher’s height and thus ease the Patient transfer.

Auto-tracking

In the auto-tracking version, the vertical movement of the tube is synchronized with the wall bucky and the elevating table.
In the auto-tracking version with stitching (dedicated unit), the collimator shutters are synchronized with the movement of wall bucky

SOFTWARES FEATURES

The Scatter Correction option (commonly referred to as Virtual Grid) is performed automatically by software and can be applied to all anatomical regions (at the user’s choice).

It is an image processing algorithm improving the contrast by subtracting the scattered noise.

Without correction

With correction

No need to use of physical anti-scatter grids and therefore better ergonomics (no grid to handle) and dose reduction (no grid in the beam), for tabletop or stand examinations as well as for direct or pediatric images.

It also reduces operator and patient exposure due to misalignment and/or artifacts of the focused grid.

Stitching

Realization of the long bones radiography

– Acquisition on standing patient with system positioning and pre-programmed adjustment of xray parameters.
– Optimized overlap area for efficient recognition of the pixels used for registration.

TWO solutions :

1/ with RAD Series E+ in manual or synchronized version, the PRX system.

This is a motorized wall bucky that manages the vertical movement of the DR detector according to the number of images desired to cover the examination area.
The box, which is placed in front of the collimator, controls the radiation by synchronizing asymmetrical collimators with the movement of the DR detector.
The operator sets the bucky to the appropriate height of the first image according to the patient’s size from a control keyboard located on the PRX and starts the automatic acquisition of the examination.
This acquisition mode with the PRX is adaptable to any X-ray source (combined with portable detector), with a minimum focal distance of 2 meters.

2/ with RAD Series E+ with autotracking + stitching : a dedicated configuration.

The tubestand will be then equipped with touch screen and with an automatic collimator with asymetrical shutters: these will be synchronized with vertical Bucky movement (here motorized).

The stitching of the examination is then done with the acquisition software which manages the images acquired by the flat panel detector.

DOSE MANAGEMENT

In addition to the optional scatter correction, the dedicated pediatric protocols, the modifiable collimation for each anatomical protocol, the Dose Area Product (DAP) indicated for each image and the DICOM MPPS and RDSR functions (automatic send of the examination data such as the DAP and acquisition parameters) are all tools to help you manage the delivered dose as efficient as possible.
